Hey guys,

I've been on this site here and there for awhile and have been enjoying watching over the forums (somehow resisting the urge to post) - however, one thing that I think would be largely beneficial for the forums or homepages is a Trail Conditions section.

It goes without explaining what it would be used for, however if people who rode an area(s) frequently could just keep it updated once a week or so (if they can find the time) I think that it would really benefit riders all over the state and beyond.

(This would be especially beneficial during the winter when the weather is sketchy)

I know personally that while I would love to ride Slatyfork or down in the Davis area, I don't want to risk the drive from Morgantown to find shoddy conditions.

Just a thought - happy trails -

Ok, so this is how it goes.

If you want a working, living, breathing model, check out www.more-mtb.org, here's the exact link:

http://www.more-mtb.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=11

So, there would be a section on this forum or on the home page that says 'trail conditions' and within that, you make a post for everywhere that has trail in WV that is known to have ride-able trails.

So it might go (for example):

Coopers Rock
Big Bear
Snowshoe
Canaan Valley Area
Davis Trails
Seneca Rocks/Spruce Knob

And under each (there can be many of these, even right down to the exact trail names if one so desires) one reports the trail conditions.

No one in specific HAS to do it, its a conglomoration of people putting their own findings in to benefit other riders. Example 'hey, I just went riding today (2/16) at Coopers and the trails were muddy in spots, but ride-able, avoid such and such trail til conditions improve' and thats all.

Simple, quick and easy.
