Hello! I'm going to be driving into WV for vacation in a couple of weeks and wanted to suss out some trail resources from the locals Smile I should be in from about June 13th to the 19th or the 20th (I've got a run back in MO on the 21st!).

I've found a couple of the posts in this forum helpful in at least nailing down the key areas to hit for some riding, but I was wondering about maps or other resources: should I hit up the park sites? Other sites?

I think I may start up on northwest side of the state (Davis?) and make my way back west as the week goes on (Fayetteville/Charleston) before heading back to MO. I'm mostly used to XC style riding so any specific trail recommendations are welcome Wink

Thanks in advance!

Hey MO I can help with the Davis area stuff. We got more riding they you can believe. To make it easy you can just stop down at Blackwater Bikes in Davis when you get to town and I can get you a map..

In beckley you can get a map to Little Beaver State Park at the park or can come by the bike shop Ride-n-Slide I have some their. I'm not sure if the new map is on their web site yet? If you want we can show you around after 5 during the week, or come tues, group ride night . 304-253-5202 I was going to write about the other areas but , they can do it I don't want too forget someone and make them mad . If they don't later on I can let you know! Or you can call or e-mail garymorefield@suddenlink.net Hope this helps some Very Happy

Well if you stop in Barboursville (just East of Huntington), we've got a group that rides nearly everyday. www.bikebfat.com We ride Barboursville Park which varies from easy to upper moderate and then there is the Kanawha Trace which involves a little hiking here and there.

Park map here... http://www.bikebfat.com/map_bfat.jpg Hook up with our group via web site administrator (Mac BoYEs) and we can show you the loops or you can try to figure something out for yourself.

and then there is always Beech Fork...it's ok but not overly suggested.

Thanks all for the tips and the info about the group rides! This should all be helpful. After I figure out where I'm going to be, I may contact people or try to find a group ride.

Thanks again!
