Hey guys,
Check out this article from Charleston's Sunday Gazette about House Bill
4567. This bill has passed and only needs the Governor's signature. If he
signs it, up to 100 privately owned housing units can be built on Stonewall
Jackson State Park land. The land will no longer be publically available.
For the folks that had their homes taken away to build Stonewall Park I can
only imagine how angry they must be to know that land is only a signature
away from being sold to private citizens.
If our public State Park land is allowed to be sold to folks who want to
build private resort homes....I guess I don't need to say anymore.
I am writing to the Gov and thought others might want to. Thanks, Kim
