Welcome to the Mountain State. What area are you moving too?
I run a Nev up front around here and it works great but its the 2.35 version. Tires will really depend on where you ride and the weather. Some places get pretty hard packed in the summer so you can run a faster rolling tire. Spring/fall/winter I run the fat Nev's and love them. I think I am going to try some Racing Ralph's or small block 8's this summer.

Right now I am running a Hutchinson Spider on the back of the hardtail, but my new bike has a Nev 2.1 on the rear.
Wow your going way up north. Dont forget there is some good riding over in PA too. If you ever make down to the Charleston/Huntington area let me know, we can hit the trails sometime.
