Hi there, my friends and I are on our way back to WV this summer. Trying to set up the agenda. Looks like we will be down about july 14. We got a day on the gauley but then are looking at a full day of riding or two maybe. What's up with the heawaters epic? Is it the way to go? Looking for the best full day of riding. Any ideas and details would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Looking forward to the WV

Are you limiting your rides to the Gauley area?

Since I am from beckley , lets see ,summersville lake has some trails some climbing, smooth hard packed . Fayette county Park which i like smooth, fast hard packed some climbing Ace White Water has lots of trails tech, all types of trail con. and of course my home park, Little Beaver State Park,20 miles of Something for every-one lots of tech rock gardens, smooth and fast , some climbs not many, lots of tech rock gardens that change with the weather. Anyway its a challenge. Not for beginers. If you need more info E-mail back or call Ride N Slide Sports in Beckley Or Marathon Bikes in Fayetteville Very Happy

The Headwaters epic is a sweet ride but its around 2.5 hours away from the Fayetteville area. If you want to do that ride you might want to drive up the night before. There is a small camping area at Tea Creek that usually has plenty of spots open.
As stated in the previous post the riding around Fayetteville is worth checking out. Most of the trail systems in and around the park can be linked up easily, giving most folks a full day and then some. You can also break them up and spend a couple of days checking things out. Little Beaver and Summersville Lake are both nice as well, but the trails at Little Beaver are easier to find your way around. ACE whitewater is a fun place to ride as long as it hasnt been raining.
If you want some more info let me know, I live in Fayetteville and would be glad to show you around if you like.
